Our Services

Our agency offers a variety of services designed to empower victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault by using a wide range of agency specific and community based support resources. We provide services to the following areas:

Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock VA

(callers out of our service area are considered on a case by case basis and current availability)

 

 

24-Hour Hotline:  

Our hotline is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The hotline is for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who need someone safe to talk to or need immediate help. Family members and friends may call also to seek information to help as well as receive services to help cope during or after the situation as well. The hotline number is 800.825.8876. Language Line Interpretation/TTY Services are available.

 

 

Shelter:  

We offer a 15 bed emergency, temporary stay to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who are fleeing a violent or abusive situation. 

 

 

Legal Advocacy:  

While we do not have attorneys on staff, employees and volunteers are available to refer and help navigate through the legal system. Our advocates can assist victims with applying for protective orders and provide court accompaniment as a support system. 

 

Supportive Counseling: 

We offer free individual/group supportive counseling to our clients and community members looking for help dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault. "Empower Hour" group sessions are offered across our service area. The groups are held in casual setting and aim to help survivors in their journey to recovery.  Contact us to learn which groups have corresponding children's group and/or daycare as well as dates, times and locations.

 

Case Management:  

Our staff works with survivors to build a large and diverse safety net of support while persons work on individual needs at their own pace.  During which referrals are provided but not limited to; community resources, housing assistance programs, employment, daycare, etc. 

 

 

Youth Program:  

Children and teens of all ages may witness and/or experience domestic and sexual violence. We offer group and individual supportive services for children.  Services are provided through play, activities, field trips, etc. and structured to the individuals need at the time of service. 

 

 

Services for the Latino Community:  

Our agency has Bi-lingual Spanish speaking Advocates available to assist the Latino community as well as Language Line Services that are available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Educational Programs:  

Our staff provides free educational programs to civic organizations, schools, workplaces, allied professionals, the faith community and other community groups upon request. Programs incorporate issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and SAFE services as a whole, all programs are free.

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities:  

Volunteer opportunities are always available for those in the community interested in helping us fulfill our mission of providing shelter, support, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
