Imagine that you don't feel safe! Someone is following you, texting or emailing you, you are afraid. In one year, 6.6 million Americans were victims of stalking-a series of actions directed at a specific person to make them afraid or feel they are in danger. It can happen to anyone. Women are stalked at a rate three times higher than men.
Stalking is a crime in all 50 states, U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.
Services to Abused Families (SAFE) can help. SAFE can provide information, support, safety planning, how to petition for a protective order, individual and group counseling, and shelter, if needed.
If you or someone you know is being stalked, contact SAFE at 800.825.8876, 24/7/365.
