SAFE's hotline is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The hotline is for victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who need someone safe to talk to or need immediate help. Family members and friends may call also to seek information to help as well as receive services to help cope during or after the situation as well. The hotline number is 800.825.8876. Language Line Interpretation/TTY Services are available.
SAFE offers a 15 bed emergency, temporary stay to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who are fleeing a violent or abusive situation.
Our service areas are:
Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannoch VA
(callers out of our service area are considered on a case by case basis and current availability)
While SAFE does not have attorneys on staff, employees and volunteers are available to refer and help navigate through the legal system. SAFE Advocates can assist victims with applying for protective orders and provide court accompaniment as a support system.
SAFE provides free individual/group supportive counseling to our clients and community members looking for help dealing with domestic violence and
sexual assault. Support groups are offered across our service area. The groups are held in casual settings,

SAFE staff work with survivors to build a large and diverse safety net of support while persons work on individual needs at there own pace. During which referrals are provided but not limited to; community resources, housing assistance programs, employment, daycare, etc.
Children and Teen Programs:
Children of all ages may witness and/or experience domestic and sexual violence. SAFE offers group and individual supportive services for children. Services are provided through play, activities, field trips, etc. and structured to the individuals need at the time of service.
Services for the Latino Community:
SAFE has Bi-lingual Spanish speaking Advocates available to assist the Latino community as well as Language Line Services that are available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

SAFE staff provides free educational programs to civic organizations, schools, workplaces, allied professionals, the faith community and other community groups upon request. Programs incorporate issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and SAFE services as a whole, all programs are free.
